Mike Tyson and Celebrity Coalition urge Trump to fix Biden’s Cannabis Promise

Mike Tyson is a boxing legend, but he and other sportsmen, athletes, and entertainers are urging Donald Trump to take action on the cannabis reform issue after Joe Biden did not deliver.

Reformation of the ring

Mike Tyson has appeared on Fox & Friends The group, which includes Kevin Durant (the leader), Dez Bryant (deputy), Allen Iverson (deputy), Antonio Brown, Roy Jones Jr. Rick Williams, Lil Pump and Adin Ros, is calling for major changes to federal marijuana policies.

Biden broke his promise

Tyson and the group criticized President Biden for not acting on his 2020 pledge to remedy marijuana-related injustices—highlighting his refusal to commute clemency requests and leaving thousands incarcerated for offenses legalized in many states.

Reform goals are set out

The coalition is urging Trump to champion three goals: reschedule marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III, grant clemency to those jailed for nonviolent cannabis offenses, and open federal banking access for legal cannabis businesses—currently shut out post–Operation Choke Point.

Public impact and personal stakes

Tyson said cannabis had transformed his life and stabilised it. The group notes the legal cannabis industry now employs 450,000 people and generates over $35 billion annually, yet still faces federal restrictions and a “ridiculous” Schedule I label comparing it to heroin.

The new front of political violence

The coalition is calling for a conservative turnaround on reforms from the Trump era, framing legalization of cannabis as an issue of national competitiveness, freedom and economics. Biden’s federal changes have stalled, so they are positioning Trump this fall as the catalyst.
