It is now over, the Arizona campaign to end adult-use Cannabis sales has been halted after the petition’s political organizer said that his “viewpoints” on it were no longer valid. [industry’s] Capitol Media Services changes its report on “threats to kids”.
Sean Noble, President of American Encore’s political strategy firm, started the petition in January, outraged that retailers are marketing cannabis products to children.

Noble stated that after researching for himself, he changed his opinion. Noble acknowledged the recent shifts in federal policy, such as the move of medical cannabis licensed by state governments from Schedule I into Schedule III.
“I’m not sure that they specifically market gummies, candies, and other things the way I was lead to believe,” he stated. Maybe they do that in other States. It’s just not happening in Arizona.
To qualify for the November ballot, 255 949 valid signatures would have been required by July. The campaign was to close Arizona’s industry for cannabis consumption by adults but retain the legalization and possession of cannabis in Arizona.
Massachusetts voters are expected to vote in November on whether to abolish the state’s cannabis for adult use industry.
