New Buffalo may be a seaside town located on Lake Michigan’s shores for many people. In the cannabis business, New Buffalo has become one of America’s most busy retail corridors. With roughly 80% of customers at Mango Cannabis’ New Buffalo dispensary traveling from out of state, the retailer is celebrating the region’s growing cannabis tourism economy with its biggest giveaway yet—a chance to win a leased 2025 Ford Escape SUV and $5,000 in cash.
Mango Gives Back Summer giveaway will take place on Saturday, July 25 from 9 am to 9 pm at its newly opened New Buffalo dispensary. All guests over 21 can take advantage of a free Sizzlebox food trailer, as well as product giveaways and deals all day. Winner will be announced by 6 pm. Grand prize winner does not have to be in attendance.
Jon Pattah is the CMO at Mango Cannabis. He says that this event is a way to say thank you to customers, while also bringing more traffic into the New Buffalo branch. The giveaway on Saturday will be the biggest that Mango Cannabis has hosted since opening its doors in 2018. Pattah: “We were very proud to put it together. We’ve learned so much putting it all together. And there will be more giveaways like this in the near future.”
New Buffalo, which is located near Northwest Indiana and Chicago’s metropolitan area has grown to be one of America’s top cannabis retail destinations. Pattah adds that “almost every dispensary in Indiana opens a New Buffalo store.”
“New Buffalo is often referred to as the ‘Hamptons of Chicago,'” states Kevin Pattah, CEO and co-founder of Mango Cannabis in a recent press release. Its location is unique and attracts tourists from all over the world, many of whom are from states that do not allow adult use cannabis. “We wanted to create a giveaway that would celebrate and give both locals as well as visitors an additional reason to visit Mango and see what it has to offer.”
Mango Cannabis was founded in Oklahoma and now operates 14 marijuana dispensaries throughout Oklahoma, New Mexico New York, Michigan. New Buffalo represents one of their newest markets.
Mango has a history of hosting large-scale events for customers. Mango’s Mango Del Sol event in New Mexico last year attracted more than 10,000 guests to see performances from Paul Wall, That Mexican OT, and OhGeesy. New Buffalo’s giveaway this year is a continuation of a similar campaign to promote the company’s latest market by creating a memorable experience for customers.
