The German Hemp Association has changed its organization structure. It is no longer a sole proprietorship but a registered association. The restructuring is accompanied by the association adopting the new official name “DHV – Deutscher Hanfverband eV”.
“The German Hemp Association, or DHV, has been a sole proprietorship since 2004. However, the plan to become a registered organization had been in place a long time. The sole proprietorship has now become a registered association. The hemp association will be more independent and future proof.” “The association wrote in a news release Translated from German into English
“Furthermore a DHV is a registered political advocacy group. A registered association would be the standard organization form.” The new structure simplifies the DHV’s political work and removes confusion about its corporate structure. “The DHV continued.
The DHV is the voice of cannabis users and advocates for legalization in Germany. The association strives for a legal, consumer-friendly market for cannabis as a recreational drug – from production to sales in adult-only shops. The DHV aims to end discrimination in all its forms and works for sensible regulation, such as those governing driver’s permits, possession, consumption and home cultivation.
“The company’s structure and its efficient processes have been a critical factor in DHV’s success to date.” In the statutes, we made sure to avoid excessive bureaucracy. The DHV says.
“With the same team of experienced professionals, we will continue fighting professionally, independently and with full strength for the complete legalization cannabis.” The association wrote about their leadership. “At the founding meeting of the now-registered association, Georg Wurth was elected as the first chairman, and the previous managing director, Christian Müller, as his deputy. The association will include all current DHV staff.
