Company Behind Edible Arrangements Enters Cannabis Industry With New Hemp Delivery Service—And A Different Kind Of Edible – MEDCAN24

Edible Arrangements, the company behind Edible Arrangements enters the cannabis market by launching a delivery service of hemp products.

Edible Brands announced Thursday it would expand its product line to include hemp gummies and drinks, as well as supplements.

Edibles.com is a brand new website where you can order products and have them delivered.

Thomas Winstanley is the Executive Vice President of Edibles.com. He said that the wellness-driven strategy of Edible Brands aligns well with the future evolution of the category. With our nationwide presence and robust infrastructure, we’re uniquely positioned for industry growth.

He said that joining an organization which prioritizes consumer advocacy, innovation, and consumers allows him to shape and strengthen this new market.

That emerging market—which proliferated after hemp was federally legalized under the 2018 Farm Bill—has been facing challenges in recent years, as more states and Congress have pushed to reign in business selling intoxicating cannabinoid products.

Edibles.com doesn’t serve California because the Governor has recently issued an emergency order that prohibits hemp-derived product containing any traces THC. But the company said that they were “unable to provide our products to Californians at this time but will be expanding as soon as possible.”

The company is now delivering hemp to Texas. If a law passed on Wednesday by the State Senate, which prohibits any hemp products that are not CBD- or CBG-free is eventually enacted, this would complicate matters.

The federal law states that hemp products are legal as long they contain no more than 0.3% THC dry weight.

Edible Brands, in any event, clearly sees an opening despite the changing policy landscape. After Texas, Edible Brands announced that it would expand to Florida and Georgia. Depending on state laws, certain products may be shipped nationwide.

The hemp industry continues to evolve, but there are still challenges for consumers in terms of perception, accessibility, and education. Somia Farid SnelEdible Brands CEO, stated. We’re making access to premium products that have been vetted easier for the consumer than ever.

Jake BullockCann’s CEO, who is also the product manager for Edible.com and the company offering cannabis drinks, has called the market growth “a momentous event” in the history of hemp.

He said that a high-quality online marketplace such as Edibles.com could reshape future THC product development and help drive long-term growth in the industry.

A limited franchise will be launched at the company’s flagship in Atlanta.

It said: “Through Edible Brands extensive franchise network this initiative seeks to democratize the access to THC, which has been historically limited by regulatory barriers.”

It comes two months after DoorDash, a delivery service in the United States, announced it would expand its products to include THC- and CBD-derived hemp-derived CBD products such as gummies or beverages.

According to a survey, three out of four young adults say they use marijuana as an alcohol alternative at least once a week.
