I Love Growing Marijuana is taking their business on tour this spring, with a six city U.S. Tour aimed at educating and fostering community ties between cannabis cultivators.
The Home Grow Tour announced Tuesday will take place from March 15, 2019 through April 20, 2019. It features an Airstream trailer with a logo that will be stopping at various events throughout Los Angeles, Palm Springs in California, Phoenix and Boulder Colorado.
ILGM has conducted its own survey and found that 48% of growers consider the community to be essential in terms of learning as well as finding a feeling of belonging.
Ernst Rustenhoven, CEO of the company, said: “We are hoping that many people join us on the tour and enjoy themselves, so we can accelerate the movement for home-grow.” Green Market Report In an interview. It’s only the beginning of our quest to get people to actually grow their own food at home.
Rustenhoven describes the company’s community involvement approach.
“ILGM must be present in local communities to connect with the people. They should learn how they can grow, and begin their journey of growth,” he added. “Not just online and communicating through chatbots, chat programs, and customer service.”
At each stop, the activities are custom-made to reflect local marijuana culture. It begins with a hands-on cannabis growing class and a meet-and-greet with cannabis personalities at the Rolling Loud festival in Los Angeles. Other stops on the tour include an event for women in Palm Springs, outdoor adventure in Boulder and culinary cannabis experiences in Chicago.
Rustenhoven, a former investment banker and venture capitalist who has been with ILGM for exactly one year, explains how the idea of a tour came about.
“This retro brand identity, I mean…I can still look up the first message I sent to one of my colleagues like, it would be cool if we would go cross country with an RV and then brand it in the new brand identity because it fits so well with a retro-looking RV,” he said.
The tour forms part of ILGM’s overall growth strategy. It has also worked to complete a three way merger with European seedbanks Barney’s Farm & Sensei Seeds. This consolidation would preserve each brand’s distinct identity and position the company to be listed on the stock exchange.
Rustenhoven explained that “there are three separate companies and three distinct brands which will operate in the same way as they always have done, with their unique identity, customers, fans, etc.” What we like most is the fact that we think these three brands compliment each other. We want to keep these reasons that make people shop and like these brands.
ILGM plans to expand educational services beyond the tour by adding an AI-powered grow assistant and personal consultations.
Rustenhoven stated that they were planning to launch online consults for real people. We have real people on the line to guide you if you are unsure of where to start and do not want to use our AI-based grow assistant. No other seed banks are doing this right now.
Customers can earn chances to win the Airstream tour trailer by making purchases or signing up for emails.
People want to win. You can. You can win for free. You can win by opting in to our newsletters and leaving your email. If you’d like to increase your chances of winning an Airstream, then just buy more from us,” Rustenhoven said.
The tour, if successful, could be an annual event.
Rustenhoven added, “We would definitely like to continue the homegrown tour, and visit more states over the years, that we’ve never visited before.”
