Nick Warrender is the man behind URB, an award-winning hemp-derived cannabis brand. His story spans a decade and begins with his mission. Warrender, the founder and CEO of URB, has a passion to share high-quality hemp product that stems from his personal experience in 2015. He was suffering with autoimmune diseases.
Warrender was inspired by how CBD improved his life, and wanted to share this with other people. So he introduced CBD into his community in Kenosha. WI, and hasn’t turned back. The Game Ahead:
URB came into the industry at its infancy. URB was among the pioneers of bringing compliant Delta-8 or Delta-9 products on the market. It also released the hydro-extracted, live resin vape.
It’s a line-up!
Today, URB offers a variety of products from disposable vapes and cartridges to edibles and flower; all powered by hemp-derived cannabinoids like THCA, Delta 8, and CBG—to name just a few.
URB’s recently rebranded products were redesigned to be airline-themed. We’ve honestly never seen anything quite like it. URB nailed the airline vibe to a T. URB’s new design is clean and simple, with a white and blue palette. It also features a crisp font and neat lines. We couldn’t hold our excitement when we opened our URB goodies (sent in a suitcase). It’s a fun collection with lots of puns. Examples include the Aerovape and Redeye Skybites.
The products that URB rebranded were all solid. The two disposable vapes we tried— the Mile High Aerovape 420 Max and the Aerovape 710—as well as the Flight Fuel Cartridges, tasted clean and functioned well. These cartridges and vapes were not out of the norm and they worked well. Our favorite was the “Frequent flyer flower” because we loved its quality, which could be seen, felt, tasted and smelt.
Skybites are a tasty snack that is terpy. The full list was not easily accessible on either the packaging or online. We wanted to know more about the colorants used in Skybites. This information must be available quickly to the public. We all agree that the URB product quality is excellent.Â
Take the industry to new heights:
Alternative cannabis products, or cannabinoids derived from hemp, can be viewed as being low quality or sketchy when compared to recreational cannabis that is high in THC. Hemp-based products containing cannabinoids, such as CBD or Delta-8-9, are widely available in grocery and tobacco stores across the country.
These hemp products are not as appealing to consumers as recreational cannabis. Oftentimes, they don’t hit the senses as hard as recreational cannabis can, especially when it comes to flower, and many of them seem to embody a vibe that’s befitting of a gas station or a dimly lit, musky smoke shop—and not in a sexy way.
URB’s staff knows all too well that hemp has some work to do. URB’s website says that they are a pioneering company: “They built the runway to allow everyone else fly.” URB set new standards for the industry, buckled their seatbelt and are now cruising at new heights. URB has rebranded its products to reflect the quality and appeal they have, as well as the new branding. This is the type of effort that will help bring the hemp market up to date.
 “Everything that we’re trying to do is to continue to legitimize the industry,” Warrender told Cannabis Now in a Q&A a few months ago.
URB is a brand that has proven itself trustworthy by manufacturing their products on-site and publishing the latest full panel tests and potency test results. URB’s mission includes educating the public and removing stigma. There are many cannabinoids in the cannabis plant besides THC. As Warrender said in the Q&A, “there’s a lot more than just THC when it comes to cannabis.”Â
URB aims to overcome stigmas by focusing on other cannabinoids than THC, and by creating a reliable and attractive brand.
