Wake & Bake: 3 Cannabis-Infused Brunch Recipes – MEDCAN24

Brunch with cannabis is the perfect way to start your day. You can choose from these options if you want a mild buzz to keep you clear and focused in the morning. But who said it had to be for breakfast in the first place? Even though it’s a dinner dish, everyone loves the stuffed French Toast! It’s even better if you add bacon!

Stuffed French Toast

It seems impossible to believe that you can start your morning with cannabis-infused French Toast. The ricotta and the jam combine to give this dish the right level of creamy, tangy sweetness.

Ingredients – Serves 2

  • White bread, 4 slices
  • 2 teaspoons canna-butter, melted
  • ¼ cup ricotta cheese
  • ¼ cup jam of your choice
  • Lightly beaten 2 large eggs
  • One tablespoon of milk
  • Unsalted Butter 3 Tablespoons
  • Add confectioners’ sugar to garnish.

Directions

1. Two slices of bread can be brushed with melted butter. The ricotta and jam are layered between the two slices of bread. Each sandwich is finished with another slice of bread.

2. Beat the milk and eggs in a shallow, wide bowl. Dip your sandwiches in the egg mix.

3. Over medium heat, in a large saucepan, melt butter. Add the sandwiches when the butter foams. Turn the sandwich over after 3 to 4 mins and let it cook for another golden minute.

4. Cut in half and drizzle any jam that remains on the plates. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar if you wish.

Chef’s NoteUse a tea strainer to get a picture-perfect sprinkle of confectioner’s icing sugar. You can choose any flavor of jam you want; an apricot-flavored one is always good.

Bacon & Egg Muffins

Everyone loves this easy breakfast. Although it looks difficult to make, it is a snap. It’s really yummy with shredded Swiss cheese as well, and you can also substitute sautéed spinach for the bacon.

Ingredients – Serves 4

  • 4 flour tortillas
  • 4 teaspoons canna-butter, melted
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Four strips of cooked bacon chopped into four pieces
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • Black pepper and salt

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 340° F.

2. The flour tortillas can be pressed into four cups using a standard muffin pan. Brush canna butter inside the cups of tortillas.

3. Distribute 3/4 cup cheddar cheese between each tortilla cup. Add the bacon. Break an egg carefully into each tortilla cup. Sprinkle the remainder of cheese on top. Sprinkle salt and black Pepper.

4. Cook for 10 minutes or until eggs have set. Serve right away.

Chef’s NoteTo soften tortillas that seem to be brittle in the microwavable, simply heat them for 10 seconds. Place the eggs in a bowl with tepid (not hot) water and let them sit for about 20 minutes.

Oatmeal With The Works

Use the highest-quality oats you can because they make a real difference. It is best to use steel-cut oats, as they are chewy. It’s a wonderful way to start your day with this cannabis-infused item.

Ingredients – Serves 4

  • 3¼ cups water
  • Steel-cut oatmeal, 2 cups
  • A pinch of salt
  • 4 teaspoons canna-butter
  • One banana peeled, sliced and cut into slices
  • Four tablespoons of chopped pecans
  • Chop walnuts into 4 tablespoons
  • 2 tablespoons dried cherries
  • Honey, 2 tablespoons

Directions

1. Bring water to the boil in a big pot. Stir in the salt and oats for five minutes. Let the mixture rest for two minutes, under cover. Mix in the Canna-butter.

2. Divide oatmeal into 4 bowls. Top evenly with remaining ingredients. Serve right away.

Chef’s NoteMake pancakes with leftover oatmeal. To the oatmeal, add an egg, some milk, baking soda and any spices that you prefer. You can recycle a delicious breakfast by sprinkling the batter on a griddle.
