Woody Harrelson says that if he could pick anyone to visit his “Ganja Giggle Garden” at a Los Angeles dispensary, he would choose a cannabis icon from the past: Bob Marley. He did admit that he didn’t believe he would be able to go “toke for toke” with late reggae icon Bob Marley.
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Monday’s episode, asked Harrelson who he most wanted to invite to a marijuana lounge that was attached to a dispensary, The Woods. He co-owns the business with Bill Maher.
Harrelson responded, “Bob Marley.”
Colbert then asked for the actor to examine his conscience before answering Colbert’s follow-up question, asking whether he would feel he could go “toke-fortoke” with Bob Marley.
Was he able to match the legendary cannabis smoker’s tolerance?
Harrelson shrugged and said, “I don’t think so.” He added that he “used to hang around” with Marley’s mom but “couldn’t go toe to toe or toke to toke with her.”
“She meant it,” he replied.
Harrelson appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast to discuss cannabis last week.
Recently, the actor also became involved in California marijuana reform activism by calling for Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat from California, has signed a law that legalized marijuana cafes last year. Last September, the governor gave final approval to this measure.
Separately, the actor disclosed that in 2017, he had used cannabis as a way to survive a meal with Donald Trump.
