The wait is over—this weekend Bozeman will once again host the Alpenglow Festival, now in its third year. The festival will include for the first time the Alpenglow Cannabis Village presented by Montana Green Pages and Cannabis Now. The event runs Friday and Saturday, August 22–23 at 726 N 7th Ave, Bozeman, MT, bringing two days of music, culture, and community connection.

We are looking forward to the two-day festival of music and festivities. Josh Perkins is the co-founder and director of Alpenglow Festival

Seit its founding, the Alpenglow Festival is one of Montana’s premier cultural events. In the last three years it has evolved from a small local event to a larger regional celebration that combines music, art, and engagement with community. The festival will host its first ever Alpenglow Cannabis Village in 2025. This space is dedicated to highlighting cannabis advocacy, local brand, wellness and education, along with the live entertainment.

“This event is about more than cannabis—it’s about community,” said Eugenio Garcia, CEO of Cannabis Now. “We are excited to celebrate Montana music, culture and wellness as well as the continuing role of cannabis in Montana’s state future.”

The 2025 Alpenglow will feature a lineup of main stage artists from 4 PM – 10 PM, creating an atmosphere of celebration and togetherness. Each evening kicks off with a lively Cannabis Village Patio Party from 4 PM – 6 PM, offering DJ performances and cannabis activations.

Lionheart feels honored to participate in Alpenglow, and the first Cannabis Village. “This event allows us to come together and celebrate our Montana community.” Christopher Fanuzzi is the CEO and Founder of Lionheart Cannabis

Looking Back at Cannabis in Montana, and Across the Nation

Montana’s cannabis history is rich and complex. In 2004, Montana became one of the first states to legalize medical marijuana. Montanans, despite regulatory hurdles and opposition from legislators, reaffirmed support for marijuana by passing legalization of adult use in 2020. Montana’s cannabis economy is flourishing today, reflecting both the state’s independent spirit and its agricultural roots.

Cannabis has grown from a multi-billion dollar industry to one that is rapidly expanding. Once considered a product for underground markets, marijuana is now being embraced by the public because of its many medical benefits and cultural importance. With more than half of U.S. states legalizing some form of cannabis use, events like Alpenglow Cannabis Village highlight how far the movement has come—bringing together communities, entrepreneurs, and advocates to celebrate progress while continuing to push for reform and education.
