Macusi Pipes takes pride in their “art which transcends time”, and this is what sets them apart from the rest. The word Macusi translates to “marijuana” in the Wixárika language. This holds cultural significance, as Wixárika people–indigenous to México–are known for their deep connection to the natural world, as well as their ceremonial use of plants, including cannabis.

Founded in 2018 in México City, Macusi Pipes offers functional and ergonomic accessories with one mission: to merge cannabis paraphernalia with art, design, tradition and culture. The name Macusi is a way to honor indigenous roots while creating a product that celebrates craftsmanship and art, connecting the Wixárika community to their ancient traditions.

Macusi’s collection is created by pouring liquid ceramic into a mold designed specifically for ceramics. After the first firing (called “Sancocho”) and hand-glazing, this piece is fired a second and third time. The Macusi Logo is added and it is fired a final time.

This handmade ceramic bubbler, called “Bubblerseed”, comes in 5 different colours.

“When collectors use a Macusi product, we want them to feel a sense of connection to something bigger—whether it’s the art, the craftsmanship, or the cultural history behind each piece,” says Chris Molina, founder of Macusi Pipes (known in the industry as “Chris Macusi.”) We create smoking accessories that are functional pieces of art. “We want collectors to be able to enjoy not just the design and beauty, but the value behind them: authenticity, quality and respect for craft.”

Semilla Bubbler is one of Macusi’s most popular products. Name and design represent growth, potential and the beginning stages of seed germination. The smooth and gentle smoke makes it popular among smokers.

Macusi’s commitment to fairness and equity extends beyond their gorgeous products. This holds especially true in México where there’s a rich history of craftsmanship, but also significant socio-economic disparities. The company believes that artisans deserve to be fairly compensated for their hard work. They also support a more inclusive and sustainable industry through working with local producers. Macusi makes sure that all parties involved, including those who are responsible for the creation and distribution of the product, receive fair compensation.

What is Macusi’s mission? Macusi’s mission is to make a positive difference in the lives and careers of those they interact with. It is for this reason that their collaboration with Annaboto will be incredibly important to the Mexican cannabis industry. Annaboto, a portable hydroponic system that integrates robotics, AI and other technologies to help you grow cannabis (pesticide free) at home.

“This collaboration is about more than just joining forces—it’s a meeting of minds that value both beauty and function,” says Annaboto CEO Carl Palme. Macusi Pipes’ beautifully-crafted products, their deep roots in Mexican culture, and the vision of Annaboto are perfectly aligned. Macusi Pipes is a partner with whom we share values. Both of us believe that every day objects should look as good as they function.

The collaboration is a testament to the fact that beauty can be combined with practicality.” This incredible corporate partnership celebrates true craftsmanship and a culture of elevated values. This partnership allows Macusi and Annaboto to showcase their best work to an audience that truly appreciates aesthetic beauty combined with functionality.
