The early morning of March 26th, 2025 saw a burglary in Chicago’s Jefferson Park area. Around 2 am, an SUV drove into the Cannabist Dispensary located on 4758 N. Milwaukee Ave. causing major damage to its storefront.
Incident Details
Chicago Police Department Officers responded quickly to an alarm that was raised in the dispensary. On arrival, the officers discovered that the vehicle was lodged inside the building’s main window. The preliminary assessments showed that the cannabis storage area was secure and no evidence of theft or money had been found.
The Investigation of Response
No suspects had been arrested as of Wednesday morning. The detectives of Area 5 launched an investigation on the attempted burglary. They reviewed surveillance footage, gathered evidence and began to investigate. The dispensary is yet to release an official response regarding this incident.
